Corona Virus, COVID-19

The outbreak of the Corona Virus, COVID-19, has led us to inform all our clients who are planning to travel by private jet about how to deal with the current situation. The safety of our valued private jet clients is the top priority. We aim to follow the guidelines set by the government on travel.

Flying privately reduces the risk as you only travel with people that you know. You can avoid the main hub terminals, using smaller separate terminals, limiting the amount of people that you come into contact with, before you fly and your arrival.

Aircraft

All private charter aircraft already undergo a thorough cleaning process, during a pandemic situation or known outbreak, as a precautionary measure, operators will apply an enhanced aircraft cleaning and disinfection process between the changeover of crew and/or passengers.

Residual Disinsection:

Treatment completed according to the World Health Organisation recommendations and is conducted with no crew or passengers on board.

The aircraft cabin and cargo hold are fogged with aviation approved pesticides that leave an invisible residual barrier on the surfaces to protect against insects for up to 8 weeks. The treatment takes up to 5 hours to complete and the aircraft cannot be boarded during this time.

Returning travellers

If you’re travelling to the UK by private jet, you will need to let us know that you haven’t been to any of the affected areas (listed below). We will then sign a declaration of your health, prior to travelling and send it to the private jet operator. If this is not completed you may not be able to land at your requested airport. Once we have all the correct information, your flight will go ahead as normal.

Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you’ve travelled to the UK from the following places in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, even if your symptoms are mild:

  • Italy (outside specific areas in northern Italy) before 9 March
  • mainland China outside of Hubei province
  • South Korea outside of Daegu, Cheongdo and Gyeongsan
  • Cambodia
  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • Laos

  • Malaysia
  • Myanmar
  • Singapore
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand

Preparing for upcoming flights

For upcoming bookings, passengers may be required to complete a form about their health and flight patterns over the last 30 days. Where this information is requested, flights will only operate if it is received at least 24 hours prior to flight departure;

Additional health certificates and documentation could be required from passengers; Passengers who have recently travelled to high risk locations will have their temperature tested prior to boarding.

We have been monitoring the outbreak since the first cases in 2019, and we are working daily with all authorities to update our standards as the situation evolves. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at any time and Falcona will do its best to help you follow your travel plans.

We are grateful for those who support Falcona’s offering and we endeavour to help you deliver the best product and service to you.
