Travelling with children is never easy. From packing their cases, to tantrums of what they want to wear and carry on the plane journey. What type of food they want to eat and boredom on the plane. Flying private makes sense in every aspect. 

Check-in

The check- in procedure for commercial travel is long winding queues, with over 150 other people. If you’re travelling with 4 large cases, you have to literally drag the cases to the front of the queue, whilst keeping an eye on the children.

When you fly private you pull up to the smaller dedicated terminal, where you’re greeted by a member of staff, who will take all your luggage into the lounge. You and your children are able to relax in the lounge until your aircraft is ready to depart. Passports are pre-cleared saving you the hassle of having to queue up.

Security

Going through the security screening process on a private flight is much easier and quicker. It’s only your travelling party being screened. When you choose a private jet flight you’ll find it’s a less intrusive security check on all passengers prior to boarding.

Inflight

Whether it’s a short two hour hop over to Mallorca or a longer 4 hour flight to Tenerife keeping the kids entertained can be extremely difficult.  You can bring iPads, yet they still find ways to get frustrated and restless.

Catering is tailored to your requests, so the children can order food that they like and will eat. Onboard they can listen to music, watch their favourite film such as Peter Rabbitt or read a book.  On larger planes such as the Embraer Legacy 650, it’s split up into 3 separate zones, perfect for kids in the rear zone and the adults up front.

Deplaning

On landing you don’t have to wait around to get off your aircraft, with hundreds of other passengers. Your luggage is quickly taken out of the hold and meets you in the private jet terminal reception minutes later. There’s no hanging around the baggage carousel for 20 minutes.
