The Ice Village is a breath taking snowy experience for all ages. The show piece attraction is the Ice Cavern, where a vast steam train made of ice is the starting point of an unforgettable journey that takes you through a frozen toy factory, in which Santa’s team of helpers are busy making toys in time for Christmas.
There will be elves, enchanted toys and artic animals hand carved from huge blocks of ice and set against a factory backdrop of ice cogs and pistons to pay tribute to Manchester’s industrial heritage. It will be cold so wrap up warm, chill out in the Artic Bar, where there will be a menu of special festive drinks and cocktails.
Santas Grotto
Take your picture with Santa this Christmas and receive your present for being good children over the year!Twinkly lights, snow and a magical grotto can only mean one thing – Santa has come to Manchester, Visit the reindeer stables and enter the traditional log cabin surrounded by enchanting woodland and snow covered trees.
Youngsters will be able to meet Mrs Claus and Santa who will be taking time out from his very busy present sorting schedule, so they can tell him what they would like for Christmas, we have everything you need for a magical Christmas experience.
Ice Rink
Returns to Cathedral Gardens for another year, so strap on your blades and hit the ice. Open until early January each session is 45 minutes long. Guaranteed fun for all the family.
