03 Apr Manchester to Mallorca
Falcona organised a one way private jet charter flight on a Hawker 400XP aircraft for 2 people from Manchester to Mallorca. Our passengers were looking to fly to Spain for a business meeting so we had to make sure that this was possible and that the passengers had all the necessary information prior to their flight.
We searched our professional database in for a suitable jet to do the charter flight. Our clients had expressed that they like the Hawker 400XP from a previous trip. We checked availability of the aircraft.
However due to different reasons we had to look at other jets. Fortunately our passengers were flexible with their travel plans, so we were able to organise a partial empty leg for passengers.
The aircraft was at Newcastle Airport and was scheduled to fly empty to Mallorca a couple of days earlier than our passengers wanted to fly.
We let our passengers know this was available and they decided to bring it forward and accepted the flight and the time of the departure from Manchester.
Travelling for business was a valid reason for travel and had to produce documents along with a negative PCR Test prior to their departure.
Falcona – Hi Thank you for your charter enquiry, our quotation of modern aircraft is attached for your review.
Passengers – Thanks -That’s a bit more than we wanted to pay for the Beechjet, it was £**** for this plane when we came back from Mallorca last November. If you can do it for £**** the same as last time we’ll definitely go ahead.
We’ll go with the Hawker as detailed below.
Falcona – Great, we will send you all the details of the flight with your flight brief, invoice and all the documents needed to travel shortly.
Passengers – Please see attached confirmation of my residency application, I’ll send over NIE’s and T letter from his lawyer separately.
I hope you’re well. We have received notification from the Foreign Office with your official approval letter 🙂 Attached is a copy for your records.
The next steps are:
1- Booking of the second appointment (based on the Extranjeria office availability this can take approx 3-6 weeks) in order to process the second stage, which involves fingerprints and to submit a photograph.
2- The Foreign Office advises that you can collect your card after 45 days, however, you need an appointment to do so. The appointments are usually 2-3 months after completing this stage. Please let me know if there are any dates you are unavailable.
Passengers – Please see attached details of my appointment with Trafico in Mallorca for reason to travel also if needed. Please see attached NIEs for both of us. Please see attached travel letter for T from our lawyer in Spain.
Please let me know if you need anything else. Please see attached Passenger Locator Forms. Please see attached negative PCR Test results.

Operational Notes
Passenger travel from the UK to Spain is restricted to EU and Schengen associated state citizens, those who are legally resident in the EU or in Schengen associated states or those passengers who can demonstrate that their journey is essential. For further information on the permitted reasons to enter Spain and necessary documentation see Permitted reasons to enter Spain.
Some travel restrictions and testing requirements are in place for international transit through Spanish airports by passengers on flights departing from the UK. See Transiting Spain.
From the 23 November 2020, pre-travel COVID-19 testing requirements are in place for those travelling by air and sea from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control). Arrivals from the UK are currently subject to this requirement. See Testing requirements for details.
If you are resident in Spain, you should carry your residence document (the green paper EU residence certificate or the new TIE), as well as your valid passport when you travel. If you are not in possession of a residence document, see Additional Requirements for UK Nationals resident in Spain for further information.
Travellers should follow the advice of the local authorities on how best to protect themselves and others, including any measures that they bring in to control the virus. See the Coronavirus section for further information.
Mandatory pre-travel declaration form for all passengers
Before travel to Spain, all passengers travelling by air or sea must complete and sign an online Health Control Form no more than 48 hours prior to travel declaring any known history of exposure to COVID-19 and giving contact details.
You can do this on the Spain Travel Health website or downloadable app. On completion of the form, you will be issued a QR code which you must show (electronically or hardcopy) at airport health controls on arrival. See Spain Travel Health video for further details.
Anyone who has not completed this form electronically via the Spain Travel Health website or app, may submit it in paper format prior to boarding.
Testing requirements
All passengers (excluding children under the age of 6 years old) travelling to Spanish airports and ports from ‘risk’ countries (as determined by the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control) are required to present a negative PCR, TMA (Transcription-Mediated Amplification) or a LAMP (Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification) swab test taken within no more than 72 hours prior to arrival. Passengers arriving from the UK are currently subject to this requirement.
This requirement applies to all passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea, regardless of your residence status in Spain and the length of time you intend on staying. Property owners in Spain are subject to this requirement.
Aircraft
The Hawker 400XP truly expands your journey and delivers the utmost value for a light jet. Great comfort and cost effective. It’s ideal for charter flights around Europe.
The aircraft seats up to 7 people, in a decent size cabin for a light jet. We recommend this aircraft for up to 4 people for maximum comfort.
Limited luggage is required when travelling on this type of aircraft. Due to the small hold we advise you to bring soft cases/bags.
