Falcona organised a one way private jet charter flight from Manchester Airport to the Algarve on a Cessna Citation CJ3 aircraft.

The family of five were travelling to the Algarve for a family holiday. The flight was booked when the UK Government, placed Portugal on the ‘green list’.

Passengers emailed us their travel requirements. Once we had the enquiry we sent a couple of suitable aircraft quotes to the client. The aircraft had to have the legs to complete the flight direct. Smaller aircraft such as the CJ2 would need a fuel stop.

For a near 3 hour flight we focused more on comfort for the passengers. It was a choice between the Embraer Phenom 300, Citation CJ3 and a Cessna Citation XLS. 

Once everything was booked and payment was made by the client. The aircraft positioned in from Liege on the day of the flight. Catering was put onboard ready for the passengers.

Passengers were met by the handling staff and Falcona on their arrival at the terminal, shown to the lounge, where their passport details were checked and verified by the staff. After around twenty minutes, due to the ramp at Manchester being extremely busy our passengers were escorted by the pilots and handling staff to their aircraft and boarded the plane.

The Cessna Citation CJ3 is an extremely popular aircraft. It has one of the longest cabins in the light jet class and  seats up to seven people in a spacious and comfortable cabin. The six reclining single executive seats are comfortable and the passenger cabin is relatively quiet.

All CJ3 cabins are outfitted with the first four seats in a facing club-four layout followed by two forward-facing seats with less legroom—great for kids or shorter passengers.

A five-inch dropped aisle yields a 57-inch high cabin, which is approximately 58-inches wide and 15-feet long, providing plenty of cabin space. The baggage compartments add up to 65 cubic feet.

The 50-cubic-foot aft compartment is big enough for up to 8 standard size cases or golf clubs and skis.The CJ3 is perfect for trips from the UK to Malaga or Faro.
